The Bolduc House of Ste. Genevieve
French Creole · vertical-log walls, hip roof, galleries
Built about 1792 for the merchant Louis Bolduc, this is one of the most authentic French Creole colonial houses in North America. The model shows its steep wood-shingle hipped roof flaring over a wraparound gallery, whitewashed vertical-log walls, red-brown shutters and the pointed-log palisade fence.
