LEGO advent calendars 2026, and how to make your own
By Your World in Bricks · Published November 5, 2026; calendars checked on LEGO.com the same day. Our custom designs are one option for a homemade calendar and are labelled “From us”.
We found five LEGO® advent calendars on LEGO.com in the US for 2026: Star Wars ($44.99), Disney Princess ($44.99), Friends ($34.99), City ($34.99) and Marvel ($44.99). On November 5, 2026 the City and Marvel calendars were already sold out on LEGO.com.
For grown-ups, or for a calendar that ends in one finished model, you can make your own: split any instruction book into 24 days and bag each day’s pieces. How to do it is below.

Star Wars Advent Calendar 2026
Set 75456 · 293 pieces · Ages 6+ · $44.99
Themed on The Mandalorian: minifigures including the Mandalorian and Moff Gideon (Mando and Grogu in holiday sweaters), Grogu, IG-11, seven mini vehicles from the Razor Crest to a festive X-wing, and creatures like the Mudhorn and a Bantha.
24 days with Ariel, Cinderella, Moana and Mulan as microdolls, four animal sidekicks and mini builds from a gingerbread castle to a toy train. The box becomes a game board for up to eight players.
24 days of winter scenes, writing to Santa, sleigh rides and hot chocolate, with three minidolls and six animals including a seal, a polar bear and a penguin.
For the sold-out calendars, check other toy retailers. Brickset lists all five as leaving LEGO’s range at the end of 2026.
Prices, piece counts and stock are from LEGO.com (US) on November 5, 2026, and they change often, especially around Insiders Weekend (November 21–22) and Black Friday to Cyber Monday (November 27–30). We’re independent of the LEGO Group and earn nothing from these links.
A countdown that comes back every year

Santa’s Holiday Countdown
Set 40874 · 873 pieces · Ages 10+ · $59.99
A countdown display rather than an advent calendar with doors: Santa climbs into a chimney on a snowy roof, and you turn knobs each day to rotate the countdown blocks. It is meant to come out again every year.
For a grown-up household it is the better buy: you build it once and turn the blocks every December.
Official calendars are a few small builds a day. A homemade one can be anything with step-by-step instructions, and it ends on December 24 with one finished model: a set you’ve been saving, a fan design, or something personal.
Choose the build. Aim for 10 to 30 minutes an evening: divide the piece count by 24 (table below).
Mark the day breaks in the book with a pencil, at natural stopping points: the end of a section, a finished wall, a completed row. Days can be uneven; finishing something each evening matters more.
Save a satisfying last day. The roof, the chimney, the frame or the final details make a good December 24.
Sort the bricks by color, then work through the book step by step, putting each step’s pieces in that day’s bag.
Number the bags 1 to 24 and put each day’s printed instruction pages inside.
Check that nothing is left over. If a piece is missing or extra, you find out in November, not on December 18.
Paper bags pegged on a string, small boxes in a crate or a pocket calendar all work. Bagging takes an evening or two for a small build. For a boxed set, the numbered bags already split it into stages; you only need to divide the steps within them.
Each step shows its own pieces, which makes bagging by day easyA small set like the Festive Gingerbread House (498 pieces) is about 20 pieces a dayPhoto: the LEGO Group

About 20 pieces a day suits children building with an adult; 40 to 80 suits an adult builder. Instruction books differ a lot in step size: in our own designs, houses of 1,600 to 3,300 pieces run to roughly 350 to 1,000 steps, while framed pictures have 10 to 140 bigger steps.
A personal calendar: your house or a family photo
A calendar that ends with the family home or a favorite photo, built a little each night, is hard to beat. We design either from your photos for $19, ready within 24 hours.
A brick model of their own houseFrom us
Custom design $19, any size · Bricks sold separately, about $60–$110 for 500 pieces
Not a LEGO set: Your World in Bricks designs a model of any simple detached house from a few photos, with an illustrated instruction book and a parts list for real LEGO® bricks, ready within 24 hours. The bricks come from LEGO® Pick a Brick, BrickLink or the bins they already own.
A 500-piece house is about 21 pieces a day, a good size for a family building together.
Custom design $19, any size · Bricks sold separately
Also ours: a favorite photo (the grandchildren, the dog, the beach) designed as framed brick wall art with step-by-step instructions and a parts list for real LEGO® bricks. A stylized picture rather than a photo-real portrait.
Loose bricks take longer than boxed sets. LEGO® quotes about 5 days for Pick a Brick Bestseller pieces and up to 28 business days for Standard pieces in the US (LEGO® Help, as of October 2026); BrickLink depends on each store. Our custom designs themselves are quick: usually ready in about an hour, delivered within 24 hours. Running late? Wrap the printed instruction book and let the bricks follow.
For a December 1 start, the bricks need to arrive by late November. Running late? Make it a 12-day calendar from December 13, or count down to New Year’s Eve instead.
Safety
Loose bricks are small parts: keep the bags out of reach of children under three and pets, and build at a table rather than on the floor.
We found five on LEGO.com in the US: Star Wars ($44.99, 293 pieces), Disney Princess ($44.99, 290), Friends ($34.99, 211), City ($34.99, 252) and Marvel ($44.99, 317). City and Marvel were sold out on LEGO.com on November 5, 2026.
Is there a LEGO advent calendar for adults?
We found none rated 18+ for 2026; the five calendars are rated 5+ or 6+. Adults often prefer Santa’s Holiday Countdown ($59.99, ages 10+), a display you turn each day and reuse every year, or a homemade calendar from a bigger set.
How do I make my own LEGO advent calendar?
Take any build with step-by-step instructions, divide the steps into 24 days, and put each day’s pieces and instruction pages in a numbered bag. Sorting by color first makes the bagging faster.
What is in the 2026 LEGO Star Wars advent calendar?
