Your World in Bricks
A BRICK MODEL OF YOUR HOUSE

A custom brick model of your house, with your own instructions

Yes, you can have your house as a brick model you build yourself. Your World in Bricks designs a custom brick model of your house from photos you upload, with an illustrated step-by-step instruction book and a complete parts list for real LEGO® bricks, for $19 at any size, delivered within 24 hours.

Think of it as a one-off set of your own home: the design and instructions are made for your house, and you buy the bricks separately from LEGO® Pick a Brick, BrickLink or another seller, or use bricks you already own.

Real houses, and the brick models we designed from them

Every house in our library was designed from photographs of the real building, as yours would be from your photos. Here are eight of them, each photo beside our finished design. Look at what carries over (the roof shapes, the porch, the window rhythm, the colors) and what is simplified to suit bricks. Each design links to its page with the full parts count and instructions.

The models are stylized brick interpretations, not exact replicas, and these library designs are larger than our smallest size. Your own house can be anything from 500 to 4,000 pieces.

How it works

  1. Photograph the house. Upload the front, then each side as you walk around it. The front is the one we need; 4–12 photos is ideal. We design only from the photos you upload, not Street View or map imagery.
  2. Choose a size. From 500 to 4,000 pieces, all the same price. More pieces add detail: dormers, garden, deck. Build the whole house, or focus the pieces on the front and keep the back plain.
  3. We design it. Most designs are ready in about an hour. We deliver within 24 hours after payment (and your photos). Designs are checked by software, not test-built by hand.
  4. Buy the bricks and build. Upload the parts list to LEGO® Pick a Brick or BrickLink, then follow the instruction book step by step. Our guides explain uploading a BrickLink wanted list and where the bricks cost less.

What you get: custom instructions for your house

  • An illustrated, step-by-step instruction book (PDF), made for your house.
  • A complete parts list with every piece, part and color.
  • Ready-to-upload shopping files: a LEGO® Pick a Brick upload list, a BrickLink wanted list and a Rebrickable parts list.
  • A 3D model of your design.
  • Not included: the bricks. You buy them separately, or use pieces you already own.

The book is a PDF you can read on a tablet or print. The parts list uses real part numbers and colors, so the same files work at LEGO® Pick a Brick, at BrickLink stores, and in Rebrickable if you want to check what your collection already covers.

Replica or interpretation?

People search for a “replica” of their house, and it helps to know what that means in bricks. A brick model works on a grid of studs and plates, so curves become steps, trim becomes a line of tiles, and paint colors are matched to the nearest real brick color. What a good brick model keeps is the character: the roof pitch and shape, the porch, the number and rhythm of windows, the chimney, the color of the walls and the roof. Those are what make family and neighbors recognize the house at a glance.

Size changes how much detail fits. At 500 pieces the house is compact and abstract; at 4,000 there is room for window frames, shutters, porch railings and landscaping. Sides you didn’t photograph are inferred and noted.

Sizes and price

Every size is $19 for the design. The same house at three of the sizes:

The bricks are a separate cost. We estimate about $60–$110 for a 500-piece house and about $480–$880 for 4,000 pieces at LEGO® Pick a Brick prices, before tax and shipping; often less on BrickLink or with bricks you already own. How that compares with kits and built models

Gifts

A model of a house is personal in a way few gifts are. Ideas by occasion: a housewarming gift for new homeowners or parents leaving the family home, a first-home anniversary gift of the house where you started, and a closing gift from a real estate agent.

Questions

Can I get a LEGO® set of my house?

Not an official LEGO® set: we are independent and not affiliated with the LEGO Group. What we make is a custom design of your house for real LEGO® bricks: an instruction book and a parts list, for $19. You buy the bricks separately and build it like a set.

Can you make a LEGO® model of my house for me?

We design the model and its custom instructions; you (or the person you give it to) buy the bricks and build it. If you want a model that arrives already built, see the built-replica options in our price comparison.

How much does a custom brick model of my house cost?

The design is $19 at any size, from 500 to 4,000 pieces. Bricks are sold separately: about $60–$110 for 500 pieces up to about $480–$880 for 4,000 pieces at LEGO® Pick a Brick prices, before tax and shipping.

How accurate will the model be?

It is a stylized brick interpretation, not an exact replica. Colors are limited to real brick colors, windows and roofs are stylized, and sides you didn’t photograph are inferred. Smaller builds simplify the details; larger builds allow more architectural detail.

What kinds of houses work?

We currently support simple detached houses with rectangular walls and a gable or flat roof. Complex houses may need design review. If we can’t make a design from your photos, we tell you and refund you.

Can I start with one photo?

Yes. A photo of the front is enough to start; the designer infers the sides you don’t show and notes them. More photos, 4–12, give a closer likeness.

Are the bricks included?

No. You pay for the custom design, instructions and parts list; we don’t sell or ship the pieces. Buy them from LEGO® Pick a Brick, BrickLink or another supplier using the files included with your design, or use pieces you already own.

How long does it take?

We deliver within 24 hours after payment (and your photos). If we miss that, you can choose a full refund or a new delivery time. Most designs are ready in about an hour. The bricks then ship from the seller you choose.
