LEGO Christmas decorations: ornaments, mantel pieces and DIY ideas
By Your World in Bricks · Published November 5, 2026; prices checked on LEGO.com the same day. Two ideas near the end are ours and are labelled “From us”.
LEGO® Christmas decorations for 2026 range from $12.99 ornament packs that hang on a real tree to a brick-built Christmas Stocking ($34.99), a Christmas Table Decoration (on sale at $23.99), a Poinsettia ($49.99) and giant Santa and Mrs. Claus minifigures ($59.99 each).
Or build your own: baubles, a tree topper and a gingerbread house need only a few hundred bricks. Ideas for both below, by where they go in the house.
Four small ornaments, Mrs. Claus, a cat called Cataclaws, a candy cane and a Christmas tree with a glow-in-the-dark backdrop, with hangers for a real tree or a doorknob.
A brick-built stocking with holly and golden stars, filled with a Nutcracker minifigure, a gingerbread cookie and candy canes. It hangs from a ring or stands on a fold-out kickstand.
Buddy from the movie Elf, about 12 inches tall in his green and yellow suit, on an icy North Pole base with an arctic puffin, candy canes and a bottle of maple syrup.
A countdown display rather than an advent calendar with doors: Santa climbs into a chimney on a snowy roof, and you turn knobs each day to rotate the countdown blocks. It is meant to come out again every year.
A candy-covered gingerbread house that opens to show Santa’s desk, fireplace and bedroom, with a Santa minifigure. About 6 inches tall: a table centerpiece or a village cottage.
The Botanicals Wreath (10340), LEGO’s brick-built front-door wreath, was sold out on LEGO.com when we checked.
Prices, piece counts and stock are from LEGO.com (US) on November 5, 2026, and they change often, especially around Insiders Weekend (November 21–22) and Black Friday to Cyber Monday (November 27–30). We’re independent of the LEGO Group and earn nothing from these links.
DIY LEGO Christmas decorations
You don’t need a set to decorate with bricks. A few ideas that work with a mixed collection:
Baubles: stack round bricks and plates from small to large and back again (2 × 2, then 4 × 4, then 2 × 2) for a round ornament, and tie a ribbon loop around a 1 × 1 round piece on top to hang it.
Flat ornaments: a star, a stocking or a tree built flat on a plate, five or six studs across, in one or two colors. Kids can design these themselves.
A tree topper: a yellow or gold star built flat, with a cone of bricks underneath that slips over the top branch.
A garland strip: 1 × 2 and 1 × 4 plates in red, green and white, overlapped in two layers into a long strip for a shelf edge or the mantel.
A mini tree: stacked green round plates or cones getting smaller toward the top, with tiny round tiles as baubles.
Snowflakes: white or transparent plates and tiles arranged around a round center, hung in a window.
A gingerbread house: reddish-brown or medium-tan walls, a white “icing” trim, and colorful round tiles and cones for candy.
Bigger brick-built decorations need a plan. These three are our own designs, each a few hundred to about 750 pieces, to show what is possible:

Two more ideas, and these are ours: the house you decorate every year, or a favorite winter photo, as a brick build for the mantel or the wall.
A brick model of their own houseFrom us
Custom design $19, any size · Bricks sold separately, about $60–$110 for 500 pieces
Not a LEGO set: Your World in Bricks designs a model of any simple detached house from a few photos, with an illustrated instruction book and a parts list for real LEGO® bricks, ready within 24 hours. The bricks come from LEGO® Pick a Brick, BrickLink or the bins they already own.
The model is designed as the house looks in your photos; add snow with white tiles on the roof and a wreath on the door.
Custom design $19, any size · Bricks sold separately
Also ours: a favorite photo (the grandchildren, the dog, the beach) designed as framed brick wall art with step-by-step instructions and a parts list for real LEGO® bricks. A stylized picture rather than a photo-real portrait.
Loose bricks take longer than boxed sets. LEGO® quotes about 5 days for Pick a Brick Bestseller pieces and up to 28 business days for Standard pieces in the US (LEGO® Help, as of October 2026); BrickLink depends on each store. Our custom designs themselves are quick: usually ready in about an hour, delivered within 24 hours. Running late? Wrap the printed instruction book and let the bricks follow.
Storing them for next year
Keep sets built. Wrap each one in tissue in its own box; rebuilding every year is a nice tradition too, if you keep the instructions.
Dust with a soft makeup brush before packing, and keep them out of a hot attic, where plastic can yellow or warp.
Bag small ornaments so the hooks and loose pieces stay together.
Yes. The Holiday Ornament Selection 2 (40862) and Snowman Ornaments (40812) come with hangers for tree branches, at $12.99 each on LEGO.com on November 5, 2026.
What LEGO Christmas decorations are there in 2026?
Ornament packs, the Christmas Stocking, the Christmas Table Decoration, the Botanicals Poinsettia, Santa’s Holiday Countdown, the Festive Gingerbread House, giant Santa and Mrs. Claus minifigures and Buddy the Elf, among others.
How do you make LEGO Christmas ornaments?
Join two round dishes or domes face to face for a bauble, or build a star, stocking or tree flat on a small plate. Add a round plate with a hole and a ribbon loop to hang it.
